Reaching your own Mac on home Wi-Fi costs nothing and stays free. Paid plans add remote access over your own Tailscale or VPN, or through Afar’s relay when you don’t want to run a VPN, with commercial use included. Settings Sync is in preview. Paid plans aren't on sale yet, so nothing on this site charges you today.

Where tax applies, it's worked out from your billing address at checkout and added to the price shown; your receipt lists price, tax and total separately. Paid plans aren't on sale yet, so nothing on this site charges you today. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel, in one click on your account page; you keep the plan until the end of the period you've paid for, then your Mac returns to free home Wi-Fi access. Commercial use of Tailscale may require Tailscale’s own paid plan. See the Terms of Service, End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy.

Trials, relay limits and cancellation

Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial, once per customer. Cancel before it ends and you are charged nothing; if you’ve had an Afar trial or paid plan before, a new plan bills from the first day. During the trial, Solo and Pro Fleet include 1 GB of relay in total. BYO-Network never includes relay.

Plans renew monthly or yearly until you cancel, in one click on your account page or in the Afar apps. You keep the plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and can change your mind until then. If a renewal payment fails, paid access pauses while your card is retried and returns once a payment goes through. A web purchase can be refunded on request within 14 days of its first charge; a full refund or a dispute ends the plan it paid for.

Afar Solo includes 20 GB a month of relay traffic and Afar Pro Fleet includes 60 GB. At the limit, relay connections pause until your next billing period, with no overage charge. Direct connections on home Wi-Fi and over your own Tailscale or VPN keep working at all times.

If a paired phone or laptop goes missing, remove it in Afar on your Mac, or end its remote sessions at Disconnect a device: they end at once, and a connection open through Afar’s relay closes within five minutes, or ten if Afar can’t be reached.
